Terri was a wonderful and nice lady and host. The hotel was clean and our room was twice the size of any motel room we've stayed in. The king size bed was comfortable and the entire room and hotel was decorated nice and had the 'home' feel to it. Very convient to all we wanted to do in Chama. Looking... more

we stayed here 5 years ago & was delighted with our stay, so didnt hesitate to stay again...we booked in early, was given a room out the back at $95 night...what a dissapointment....there were 3 double beds in the room...everything in need of an update,,..must say the owner wasnt there when we booked in, the lady that was filling in... more

My husband and I spent two nights at the Cumbres Suites in the very large suite with one king bed. It was the comfiest bed of our entire two week trip through NM, Az, Utah, and Colorado, and we stayed at Sheratons and Hampton Inns. This is a family run b&b, with a generous selection of breakfast choices, and very clean.... more

This hotel was my choice due to the reviews from Trip Advisor. How misleading! . Upon entering the office, some little boy who called the lady behind the desk, "Grandma" unzipped his pants and yes, WENT TO THE BATHROOM in the flower pot. Couldn't believe our eyes. Got the keys to the room with three beds, entered and found the... more

We've been here for three days now, and will check out tomorrow. It's been an ideal home base for some family history exploration as well as a spectacular train ride. We're from California and have no local connections, but Terry, the proprietor, has been incredibly helpful in our search for details about a local quarry run by my husband's great-grandfather.... more

I can not understand where the good reviews are coming from with this filthy Motel. We booked our stay at the Cumbres Suites because of the good reviews that were given. We booked the suites with three beds and upon entering the room, the doormat had a huge hole in it. The carpet was stained, dirty and the entire room... more

I was a bit apprehensive about selecting accommodations in Chama, NM, having hoped for a recognizable luxury branded hotel. It turns out that my family (including young children) were well treated at the Cumbres Suites... which was clean and tidy and comfortable... seems to be a family-run operation. If we come back to ride the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad, we... more

We stayed at the Cumbres Suites in large part due to the reviews on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. For a bargain rate under $70, my wife and I got a unit with a queen bed, two double beds, a refrigerator, microwave, kitchen table, and stove. The continental breakfast, which someone else here had the nerve to complain about, featured... more

We stopped in Chama for one night and chose the Cumbres Suites, they were spring cleaning for the summer season so not all rooms were available but this meant we got one of the largest! The room was huge with two double beds, a sofa, fridge and bathroom. Almost too big for 2 of us but would be great for... more

Clean, spacious, cozy. Noisy, odd surroundings. The young woman whom I made my reservation with was SUPER helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious, but it was right outside the breakfast area, so we were awakened early by the cheerful breakfast eaters. The "continental breakfast" consisted of a choice of sugary breakfast cereal, milk, chocolate milk, and/or plastic-packaged... more
