I have traveled several times to the Cimarron area and need to stay a week at a time each trip. This was a pleasant experience each time. If you are used to grand hotels this is NOT for you. But, considering the other places in town...it's a nice place to stay more

Our family stayed at the Cimarron Inn and RV Park for 3 nights while visiting our daughter who was working at Philmont. Yes, the motel is older, but it has lots of charm. Our troop stayed overnight at the Cimarron Inn. We had the Casita for the 9 boys and the Philmont room for the 3 adults. This inn is worn out. The mattresses sagged, the aging carpet smelled strongly of carpet deodorizer. Tree limbs scraped across metal on the roof. If you want to visit Cimarron, I suggest you stay in Clayton, NM. or Red River. more
