My family Loves the Lodge. we spend 4th of July there every year, and our main goal is to relax, and not have any plans. I have a 16 yr ols, 12 and 13 yr olds. they all three love the lodge also. My son plays golf, and my girls and I go to the spa. It is a wonderful... more

We were referred to The Lodge by a friend from the area and were severely disappointed. Our first room in the mail lodge was small, cramped and had a defective bedside lamp and a TV struck by a snowstorm. After asking for a decent room we finally settled on a fourth one that had more space but no reading lamps... more

I would have given this facility a higher rating except for: There are no elevators in the lodge. For people that are in their 70's at an altitude of 8600' it is demanding to climb 3 floors. That fact was not noted anyplace on their website. When we arrived, the air conditioner in the room did not work. It was... more

When we booked, we thought we were staying in the Lodge building itself. But when we got there, we were informed we'd be staying in the pavillion half a mile down the road. No one had told us this in advance and their website didn't say anything about it. The room itself was clean and comfortable. It took about 10... more

We heard good things about The Lodge from family who had enjoyed their previous visits. When I booked the room, the reservation agent described the room as accross the road from the lodge. We were disappointed to discover that the room was actually 0.5 miles down the road toward the village in a building called the Pavillion. The Pavillion had... more

We stayed at The Lodge for two nights as part of a conference. Perhaps the best part about this place was the pace and care of the service. We never felt rushed or pushed. Instead, we felt welcomed and served. The main lobby features a large, working fireplace with several comfortable chairs and couches, and there are tables for playing... more

The Lodge is a hotel with a suprising amount of history, charm, and character for it's out of the way location. Started as a true log-cabin style lodge back in 1899 and rebuilt in it's current form in 1911, the Lodge is a pleseant surprise in the otherwise quiet town of Cloudcroft, NM. The Lodge is about 3 hours from... more

Just returned from a stay at The Lodge at Cloudcroft and loved the peace and quiet. It is an old historic hotel, so if you don't care for that, this isn't the place for you. It has a golf course, spa and small pool/jacuzzi. We had a king size bed and the room was small, but adequate. The mattress and... more

First off, we drove up from Albuquerque, which is about a 3 hour drive but we did some sigtseeing on the way, it's a beautiful drive through the Sacramento Mountains.... There was no one at the check in counter when we arrived so we waited patiently for about 5 minutes.... When she arrived she acted as if we were interrupting... more

This was a nice place for a week of hiking and getting away from it all. It is very rustic, nice rooms, comfortable beds with plenty of room. We had a fireplace in our room which was nice and there was an adjoining room for our 4 kids. there was not a refrigerator in the room and there is no... more
