There appears to be no sense of pride here. We would agree with previous comments on the towels being old and thin. Worse, however, was the fact that the shower drain was clogged and there was mold nestled amongst the old tile. We reported the clogged drain the following morning. After being gone all day hiking, we returned to a... More

The Aspen is a nice clean motel nestled in the charming village of Cloudcroft, NM. The folks are friendly, the room adequate (clean, comfy bed, good location) and a restaurant on site that prepares good meals. Complimentary breakfast included in the reasonable priced room. There is laundry available too. My room was quiet until the neighbours got up to leave... More

The hotel is quaint and well kept. It is an older property but it is very clean. The Cross-Eyed Moose Cafe is right in front of the motel and the food is delish! There is free wi-fi in the rooms and in the cafe. This was perfect because I could work as my husband and sons were hunting.

Stayed there 4 nights in October 2011, very friendly owners, nice clean room. The included breakfast was great. The crosseyed moose cafe was staffed by very attentive waitresses and waiters, I suggest that you eat at the cafe even if you don't stay at the motel but I would highly recommend both.

We were lucky to get the last room at this popular little motel. The front desk was staffed by the grandson of the owners and he was very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and spacious and the chairs on the front deck faced the tall evergreens across the road, a nice view. The motel has a large, new... More

I found the newly remodeled rooms very clean and updated. The new owners have done a good job. The bathroom was especially clean and inviting. There were more than an adequate number of clean linens. The full complimentary breakfast was fit for a King. Overall, a great mountain retreat!

Person checking us in could not find reservations, the entire room needed painting. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, so you had to leave the door open to let the steam out. Tile was loose and separating from the wall over the bathtub. The wash cloths were old and stained. The sheets on one of the beds had large stains... More
