Having driven almost 600 miles before stopping in Gallup we didn't want to spend too much when we were just staying one night. Next time I will spend the money and go somewhere else. I don't expect much from Super8 but I could have used the oil rag from my trunk and had a cleaner towel. Lots of other options... more
Stayed here while traveling from back east to Tempe. It worked. Yea there are trains but they roll directly thru town and no matter where you stay you'll hear em'. Don't stay in Gallup if you don't like trains. The place is OK and reliable. Nice shower, comfortable bed, and decent breakfast in the morning. Pool was out of order... more
We had been driving all day and I was tired. A short time after laying my head on the scratchy, flat pillows, the train went by. The motel is right next to the tracks at an intersection. When the whistle blared, it sounded like the train was coming through the room. Every 10 to 15 minutes another train came through.... more
I would never stay at this motel again. Furiture falling apart, plumbing doesn't work properly, had to remove toilet lid to flush. Made my reservation 2 months in advance and was quoted a price, then charged a different price upon arrival. Owner doesn't seem to care about the property or the customer. more
Older property not in a great area. I did not feel reallty safe there, secluded, dark, glad my car was still there in the morning. Room was OK, slept, took decent shower, and left as soon as possible. more
We had planned to stay in a camping cabin at the Gallup KOA. It was in a parking lot and the temperature was 100 degrees. We looked for a room and decided being close to downtown was better. Average stay, no problems. Just by the looks you know this isn't the best place in town. lol But it got the job done. I've missed the train going by. lol 33/nite w/taxes. more
Stayed here on our way back home. Never will stay in a super 8 again. This one did have a nice pool area. But it is old and outdated. not again. more
Don't even bother staying at this Super 8. My wife and me stopped there on our vacation to California. The room was O.K., but it is not in a safe area.
