My mom and I stayed at the La Cueva Lodge one night while touring NM. The room had a fridge, microwave, and deck. The beds were firm (which I really like) and the room was clean. Both my mom and I enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. We wish we would have had more time b/c the... more

This is a great place! It's quiet, lot's of hummingbirds, with very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Depending on what you want to do and where you want to go it's a perfect place to stay. We went to Fenton Lake, Jemez Springs, Bandelier National Monument, Jemez Falls and Los Alamos. This was a good center spot to be for... more

Took the boys to the Jemez Mountains. Had a wonderful time. Plenty of hiking, hot springs and water falls. The lodge was great. Our back door opened to the river. The boys had a great time fishing out there. Everything was green and lush. We cooked our dinner out back on the BBQ. Kind of like camping but with the... more

My husband & I have stayed at the Lodge twice, once in the Eagle room and once in the Owl Room (I think). Both stays were pleasant, and neither of us had trouble sleeping! (I have read some of the other reviews, and have to wonder about the folks who wrote the bad reviews. I travel every week, and every... more

Not happy. Too expensive ($85.00) for an old bed that was not comfortable. Tried to talk to the managers and they blew us off. The husband said to talk to his wife, and she told us she has "personal problems" and was not willing to help. more

Old, hard beds, you can feel metal springs through the mattress. Better to take the bedding out back and sleep on the grass. Rented 2 rooms, all the beds were the same. Moldy towel baskets were nasty. No air conditioner, only a Fan. Satellite TV is 6 channels: cartoons, fox news, weather, usa, tnt, etc, no local channels, we wanted... more

My husband and I just returned from a weekend motorcycle trip to the Jemez Mountains and were very pleased with our stay at the La Cueva Lodge. The lodge is about 1000 feet higher and 8 miles north of the town of Jemez Springs. Our room was very large with a mini kitchennette and the San Antonio River was right... more

Stayed for one night in August. I'm a local (from Albuquerque) and even have a cabin the Jemez so I'd driven by the La Cueva lots of times and eaten at the restaurant (The Ridgeback). We were part of a large annual camping trip and I have some achey joints that just weren't up to sleeping on the ground so... more

This small establishment (15 units) provides a lovely location beside a stream and adjacent to a restaurant and general store in an otherwise "middle of nowhere" crossroads. The rooms are quite nice and provide a decor break from the chains that abound. The motel is quiet and seems attract guests who appreciate and respect the silence. In the evening and... more
