This is a gem of a B&B. It is a working ranch and friendly animals will greet you on arrival. (3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses and a wonderful donkey named Sara). We loved Rancho Magdalena! The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Unlike other places that use the term ranch liberally, this really is a ranch with cats, dogs, chickens, turkeys, goats, horses, donkeys and cows. Nothing but the highest recommendation for Rancho Magdalena. Lee and Lori are perfect hosts, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The bed and breakfast is adjacent to the magdalna Airport, a state maintained dirt and shale strip, N29, in reasonable condition. Land, hike, stay the night, great breakfast and back in the air.
