I read all the reviews before we went and cannot understand why anybody would not like this place. They let us check-in at noon and it took 5 minutes (The valets were great BTW). The room was very nice, spotless, well furnished and as for the mini bar being locked...all you had to do was get a code from the... more

The lake front view room is pretty spacious. Beautiful view. Free Wi-Fi. However, the AC/heating unit is quite noisy. The door is paper thin, you could hear so clearly people walk by and talk in the hallway. I'm sure they can hear you quite well too. The room safe is not free. The mini bar is also locked. The tub... more

A beautiful setting, however that is where it ends. I got one of the grand suites for my stay and was dissappointed from the start. The couch had to be 15 yrs old and looked it..no recliner. I am not sure this is a three star hotel let alone a FOUR DIAMOND. On the bright side, the Jacuzzi was great,... more

Very pretty, scenic location. Beautiful golf course. Pricey. There are many motels, hotels and cabins in the area (Ruidoso) and this is on the high end price-wise. There is a casino at the same location as the hotel. Some of the Native American employees of the facility are not that friendly. Service not that great. more

My husband and I had a blast at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. The hotel is beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms cleam and confortable. Paid a little extra for a room with a patio and it was well worth it to have a view of the lake and mountains. The room wasn't sound proof as... more

After reading some of the previous reviews, I was a little nervous to make reservations here, but I had visited the resort a couple times and its beautiful location made me willing to take the risk and reserve 3 days in a suite. I was happily surprised to find from the moment we checked in, there were helpful, friendly, accomodating,... more

The grounds this hotel/casino sit on are beautiful. The back of the hotel sits on a small lake surrounded by trees. Nice facilities throughout. The pool and hot tub are nice too. Unfortunately, this will all be overshadowed by what we found in the bed. We pulled back the sheets of our bed the first night to find a surprise... more

Undeniably a beautiful setting- and thats it! Things started off bad and went downhill from there. At check-in, there was no one to move the luggage to the rooms, so we loaded the cart provided by the parking valet (he wasn't interested in even putting the bags on the cart), and stood in line for 20 minutes at registration. The... more

We visited hoping to find a wonderful retreat in the mountains that would be worthy of the AAA "Four Diamond" award they so proudly display. After three days there I'd say AAA needs to make a return visit. A few of the lowlights: 1. Things are broken and out of order all over the hotel. 2. The casino does NOT... more

This is an Indian run lodge and casino (the casino part is laughable). I've been to Isleta and Sandia, so I was expecting something similar at Inn of the Mountain Gods. The lodge is beautiful and the surroundings are breathtaking. The cool, clean mountain air is wonderful. And that's about the only positive things I can say about it. Generally,... more
