Very nice staff, but that is about all we found to be good about this motel. Our first clue should have been the mild smell of something not unlike a backed up sewer that we noticed as we checked in. We should have left then but we ventured forth to our room which smelled strongly of a Pine Sol like cleaning solution. We struggled to open the old, aluminum window, we found it to be cracked all the way across and was held together only with some kind of gooey sealant. As the cleaning smell dissipated, the sewer smell became stronger. The sheets were clean but the bed had a spring sticking out of the mattress edge. The bathroom fixtures worked and were cleaned as best as they could be given the age of the place. Everything worked for the most part but the whole place was run down and in desperate need of remodeling. The continental breakfast was set up in a revamped guest room and the place smelled like sour milk, we went out.
