We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 5 days and it was well worth it. I am glad we chose this hotel. It was a very stressful business trip and the hotel was very accommodating and helpful. I will stay here again next time. more

This property is very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. When we left, I could we got our money's worth. The pool and hot tub were both well-maintained and very enjoyable. The Holiday Inn Express in Portales New Mexico is definitely one of the nicest discount places I've stayed in. The place is brand new, staff very friendly, and buffet area well-stocyed with food and flat screen CNN. The business center and spa were a bonus. Definitely reccomended. more

Not sure how this could be ranked third. Gorgeous new HI Express that is too nice for the town its in frankly. We stayed in over a dozen hotels on a cross-country trip and this was truly a stand-out, and it was the nicest "one night stand" we had as hotels go.
