When you only need a cheap and clean place to stay when traveling through NE New Mexico, this will do the trick. $59 for a large room with a queen bed. Very dated furnishings and decor. Pink shag carpeting. Somewhat threadbare linens and minimum "extras" (no box of kleenex, shampoos or such). But the place was clean and smelled fresh. Good working air conditioner. No noise. Nice benches outside each room to enjoy the evening breeze looking out on to the parking lot. It actually encouraged interaction between guests.
A downer: They need to install new hardware on the doors. Flimsy and not very secure knobs with key entry and no deadbolts. I never felt unsafe but this needs attention.
The best part: The hotel restaurant serves a FANTASTIC breakfast. Their 2+2+2 (eggs,meat,pancakes) was out of this world.
If you are at all picky this is not the place to stay but when all you need is a clean bed for cheap, this will be fine. more
