Was asked recently by someone what our favourite holidays had been and recounted our 3 day break staying at Boulders Lodge in October 2006. Realised that I had never posted a review of this hotel so - rather late - posting my recollection of our stay. We had never done a safari before but thought I would know what to... more

After landing at the airstrip it was a short drive with my guide, Donavan, to camp. Upon arrival I immediately I new I would thoroughly enjoy my stay. The main area is an impressive artistic mix of rock, wood, woven rough fabrics, creams, beiges, browns and fantastic textures. A very natural, African feel. I was greeted with a smile and... more

We stayed 2 nights at Boulders after having stayed at Londolozi for 2 nights. This is obviously my personal opinion, but I felt more warmth and energy from the Londolozi staff. Having said that, Boulders is incredible. Our guide was really annoying and definitely put a damper on the experience, but the lodge, rooms, food, wine, service was amazing. The... more

How do you describe the trip of a lifetime? The service was excellent, the game viewing magnificent, the food delicious, everyone delightful. The highest accolades are applicable to Singita. I always said this would be a once in a lifetime trip. Now I know better. I will go back to Singita in the future. I'm definitely hooked on safari and... more

Our recent trip to Boulders was our seventh trip to Singita. We were first there in 1995 when Ebony the first lodges at Singita opened. We were curious to know ,now that there are 15 competing 5 star lodges in the area, if Singita could be fresh and still the best, as it was the model for the rest. The... more

I am so glad I selected this place to stay at for 5 nights when I recently visited South Africa. Quite simply mind blowingly good. Unending thanks to the wonderful time we had with Johan and Kenneth, our guide and tracker and to all the other nice staff. We saw not only the Big 5 but probably every animal possible,... more

Just returned from a long weekend safari at Singita Boulders. What a wonderful experience! Our guide and tracker, Johan and Kenneth were terrific; we saw the big five and more from very close proximity. Our family suite was beautiful, elegantly furnished, very comfortable, just right for my husband and me and our teenage son, who also enjoyed having wireless internet... more

I recently returned from a week long trip at both the singita boulders and sweni lodges. In a nut shell, Africa has reserved large parcels of land to preserve the natural habitat and companies bid to aquire 20 year leases. The singita properties apparently have the top locations and provided excellant lodges on these parcels. the game sightings at the... more

I have been on safari's before but nothing compared to this! The staff are fantastic and can give advise on everything from camera settings, to what wines to have with your meal. They are informative, friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The settings on there own are beautiful, and thats before you've even seen an animal. I went... more
