We spent four nights at Sausage Tree at the end of April 2013 and it fulfilled all we could have wanted and more. The setting is amazing; intimate and private, you feel so remote from the world of buildings and roads and right in the middle of nature, from our deck we saw giraffes and impalas going about their business... Staying at Sausage Tree Lodge was absolutely fantastic. Richard and Sonja are great hosts who made us feel very welcomed. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. Richard worked very hard to make sure we saw as many animals as possible and we were not disappointed. He is very passionate and enthusiastic about what he does which... More

Wow, this place is great. The tents are simple but luxurious, with fantastic game views from the deck. What really makes this camp so special is the people. The hosts, James and Sonja, are so welcoming and helpful, and all the rest of the staff are excellent too. We had some great trips out into the bush, and were priveleged... More

Making reservations over the web can be a gamble on what you get. Not so with Sausage Tree, it was over the top from what we expected. Everyone was warm and friendly, food was fantastic. The game drives were the best, Mike and our tracker went out of their way to expose the real African bush experience to us. It... More

Sigh......just settling down to write this review have me overwhelmed with emotions. The suspense of tracking a rhino in the night (Will we going to find it? Or are we not going to find it? And.......we did!). The high of speeding through the night in response to a radio report of a leopard sighting and later have the animal maybe... More

A luxury tented safari in a small and very friendly camp. We visited to celebrate a significant birthday but we are already planning when and how to return. We saw loads of animals as well as flowers and other plants with the knowledgeable ranger Mike and tenacious tracker Tembe. Wild runs in the jeep as well as quiet, exciting walking... More
