We went to Jackalberry Lodge for two nights in celebration of my birthday two weeks later. It was also our first experience visiting a private game lodge. It was an amazing experience. This is a small but luxurious lodge catering for a small group of people at any given time. Excellent service, food and personal attention are guaranteed. The staff... More

Unfortunately i only had time to stay one night at jackal berry. I really enjoyed my stay there. Rooms are fabulous, private, spacious, clean and have everything u need. I got to experience an outside shower underneath the South African star this was definitely a high light. We also went on two game drives an evening & morning drive, both... More

For us we have to say the Jackalberry suited us perfectly. Very pleasant staff who were very attentive without being intrusive. Nice quality food, well presented, with good variety including healthy options, all served in pleasant outdoor dining areas, which on some evenings include the added attraction of a log fire. The rooms were very spacious, with super king beds,... More

This was our first camp on our 3 week African adventure. We saw the big five on the first drive, in this lush camp. Our accomadations were outstanding. It was a bit cool while we were there. Our rooms were toasty warm when we returned from our game drives. The fire was ready for us when as we arrived from... More

We have been to Jackalberry at least 3 times over the years. It has retained its excellent rating in our eyes and is a must for game viewing. The Management is excellent, the food superb (especially for difficult people who are intolerant to various foods). The room was clean and tidy, an outside shower and a patio front and back.... More

Jackalberry is a beautiful small lodge in an idealic setting. The staff were amazing- Gideon was helpful and kind. The food was thoughtfully prepared and was always fresh. We stayed for 3 days and didn't see any repeat dishes served at breakfast lunch or dinner- so definitely a change from other buffets. We stayed at Kapama last year and found... More

Dear ChristenH, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. Your compliments are appreciated and have been passed on to the team. While we appreciate your concern, rest assured that our rangers and trackers are highly trained and FAGASA accredited, and are always in control of any interaction with wildlife. However, we do acknowledge that your ranger and... More

We spent four nights a Jackalberry lodge, it was my sister's 40th Birthday, the lodge made us a beautiful birthday cake and made my sister feel very special the whole day. we saw Elephants playing in the Dam. Admiring the teenage Lion with his "just got out of bed" hair sitting with his Mum and sisters. Thank you to all... More

Great bush experience where the people and the location make the difference. Rooms are very nice but not really very private nor with great views. Main lodge is very nicely done. Food was excellent as was the service. Brad and Lawrence made ALL the difference. As ranger\tracker team, an awesome team and really just a pleasure to be with them.... More

On our trip to South Africa in September we decided to stay 2 days at Jackalberry Lodge based on TripAdvisor recommendations. We are glad that we did. We had a wonderful time filled with great close-up wildlife viewing, great photos and great memories. The lodge was in a nice private setting with comfortable, quiet rooms. The food was really good... More

My sister and I spent part of our holiday (Oct 2012) at Jackalberry Lodge as part of a package put together by Lion World Tours. We were given a choice of bush lodges and after some quick research decided on Jackalberry where upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Coleen offered a cool drink, introduced to the staff and shown...
