We returned to Casa Blanca this year and found everything as perfect as our first stay, 4 years ago. This B&B is a wonderful place to stay while you are visiting the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. The location is in the quiet town of San Antonio just outside the NWR. My wife and I spent a night at Casa Blanca B&B this May on our way east to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge and Lincoln National Forest. This was our 3rd stay at Casa Blanca. It just gets better over time. It's only 10 minutes away from an outstanding bird refuge, Bosque del Apache. 10 minutes in the other direction is Socorro, New Mexico, with an assortment of restaurants (in addition to the 3 restaurants in San Antonio, NM). An absolute winner. I came for a night and stayed for a couple weeks! The owners should be congratulated for doing something that many B&Bs can't do - making you feel as if you are at home, a very comfy, attractive home, and then the bonus, the luxury of being pampered away from home. The owners were delightful. The accommodations were clean, quiet and comfortable. When not out and about I pored over the photography books I found on a shelf in the bathroom. This place is a hidden gem. I recommend Casa Blanca over staying in a Socorro hotel. I booked my stay by contacting the property directly via e-mail. more

Located 15 minutes north of Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, Casa Blanca in San Antonio, New Mexico is a paradise for birders.
