This Holiday Inn Express was excellent. The rooms were very clean. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I've had in a hotel. The linens were very nice...not like those scratchy bedspreads you usually have to throw on the floor. These were like a soft comforter. The air conditioner worked great. Our third stay with a Holiday Inn Express in the past two months but it was not up to par in comparison. First the good- the property was well kept with plenty of parking, the room was clean and the furnishings well appointed. The AC and the bathroom were in good working order. Lots of billboards advertising historic Route 66 through Tucumcari, but none of the original 66 hotels have held up well. Fortunately, new hotels have built up near the expressway. This hotel has an excellent staff, an large indoor pool, and a game room, complete with an elegant pool table, darts, basketball, and a large screen flat TV. Very comfortable hotel! more

I was very pleased with this hotel. I don't think I've ever slept in a more comfortable bed, including my own very comfortable one at home! This HIE is modern, updated and very well kept. The surrounding area has enough food options and facilities for travelers. I got great chinese food from the Golden Dragon which delivers.
