I stay there EVERY time I go from Nebraska to Arizona. These people here are super nice! The bar is comfortable and safe. The rooms are older, but they've really tried to keep them up. There are so many motels on this road, I'm sure you do what you can to save money. I will pick the Pow Wow everytime.... more

The room looked decent at first glance, although my room smelled of smoke, even after it had been aired out while my colleague and I were eating at the motel's restaurant. As I was getting ready for bed, I pulled down the cover to find men's chest hair (I'm assuming- it was short and curly) all over the sheets, along... more

Drive right past this place. Go to one of the group of newer inns at by the highway. Oh my goodness, we checked in, went to the room, looked around and couldn't believe it. In 3 minutes I was back at the office demanding my $ back. We went straight to the Holiday Express. Nasty, run down, musky-moldy, filthy carpet... more

I stayed at this hotel last year with my family. It is an old charming Route 66 hotel. It has few amenities, but the service had been wonderful. We looked forward to our stay again this year. This property had been foreclosed by the bank and I can no longer reccommend it. It is rundown. The rooms are dirty. The... more

We stayed here in hopes of recreating some of the nostalgia of the "Mother Road," historic Route 66. What we got was a rundown old motel badly in need of refurbishment. I was unable to take a shower in the morning because there wasn't sufficient pressure to get hot water to the shower head. Not that I really wanted to,... more

We had seen this motel on other trips we have taken and decided to book it for this trip. It was a mistake!! The room was large enough but everything appeared to be old, not rustic, just old. I took my shoes off while putting things away and then propped myself up on the bed to watch some T.V. prior... more

We hadn't booked anywhere and just drove through town to find a place as the Blue Swallow was closed. It's not the Hilton and the rooms are showing their age but it has some character. Good pool area and lawns that are surrounded by the rooms. It has a bar and restaurant that aren't too bad and they sell a... more

When we checked in, we were put in the far back section pretty much by ourselves. We had booked through Expedia, so maybe this is how they do it. The main part of the motel was nicer and certainly not full. We had requested a non-smoking room but were given a smoking room. Our room only had one washcloth. I... more

While the Pow Wow Inn has the charm of bygone days, reminiscent of our early visits in the 1970s, a bit of paint and lobby full of curios for sale don't disguise the fact that this is an outdated hotel badly in need of some updates. On our visit in November, 2003, we encountered an indifferent, untrained staff, including a... more
