We stayed at this property by choice. Made a reservation based on a review that we read somewhere else. Tucumcari, New Mexico is an economically depressed town on historic Route 66. There are 1200 rooms in the town --- and there is way too many hotels. The result is numerous properties throughout the city are closed and the prices are... more

When we arrived, the staff had to try a couple of our credit cards because their machine had problems. After going out to get dinner, we came back to find we couldn't get into our room. Extremely light breakfast. Rooms are scant & very minimalistically decorated. Extremely small vanity in bathroom. Uncomfortable bed. A/C wasn't on in room when we arrived (it's JUNE & HOT).
