We recently returned from a trip to Africa and Kings Pool was our starting point for our second safari to Africa. The service, location on the Linyanti river, food and not to mention the actual wildlife were all spectacular! We had the room at the end of the camp which was incredibly peaceful and had superb views across the river.... more

We booked our safari through Wilderness Safaris and had a FANTASTIC time. If you enjoy Luxury with a great safari it would be very difficult to beat Kingspool. Our guide Matthew Copham was by far the best we have ever enjoyed in all of Africa, his humor, game tracking and knowledge of the area is unsurpassed. We tracked leopards, wild... more

2 nights were simply not enough at this luxurious oasis on the River Linyanti on the Northern boarder of Botswana and Namibia. We stayed at this camp in the busy season, but we never felt crowded. We spent much of our time on safari viewing local wildlife, but this is a 5* safari experience. August is winter and early morning... more

We were booked into Kings Pool by Africa2Go. Beautiful camp, fantastic service. But the main attraction is the staff. Managers Olivia and Connie set the tone for a great experience. The staff--guides, chef, service and management--were encouraged to mix with the guests, making each mealtime an event in its own right. Highly recommended. more

July 6-9, 2008 Kings Pool. In my opinion, there are at least four components to consider in evaluating a camp: 1. Accommodations and facilities 2. Staff 3. Food 4. Game viewing. Kings Pool rates 5 stars for all of them. The accommodations as other reviews have mentioned are top notch. We arrived after the renovations of the main area, and... more

We were collected at the airstrip by Alex. We waited another 10 minutes for another flight to come in, and an English couple joined the three of us. As it was already past 3:30 pm, and the Camp was a good 45 minute drive away, Alex suggested that we go on a game drive. We all had no problem with... more

This is a friendly place run by South Africans who will do their best to ensure you are happy. The main entrance and dining area has just been redone and doesn't quite work. There is almost no shade--but they are fixing this. However, in the mornings and evenings, the design works well and you dine over looking expansive plains. (It... more

Stayed 3 nights. The thatched roof "tents" are over the top luxurious with a double shower/sink , outdoor shower, plunge pool and decorated tastefully with African artifacts. Beautiful views--I would lie on our porch bed and watch elephants, hippos and warthogs--you have to shut your doors to keep the monkeys out. Our young guide (appropriately named "Gift") was terrific. They... more

I have stayed at King's Pool twice and love it. It is a beautiful, intimate camp in a pristine wilderness location in the Linyanti Concession of the Okavango Delta. The accommodations are "tented," but it is hard not to smile when writing that because to call the nine rooms at King's Pool "tents" is almost laughable. The only way to... more

My wife and I just got back from King's Pool and had a great time. King's Pool is over the top luxurious! It was stunning. We had Copper as a guide and he was excellent! He spotted a Leopard on a fresh kill one morning and we watched it form about 20 feet. Animals are everywhere especially hippo's and elephants.... more
