Kwara was our favourite camp of the three we stayed at (the others were Savuti Camp in the Linyanti area and Sandibe Safari Lodge). Kwara is by no means a luxury camp, especially when compared to the other two. The tents are still pretty good, though some updating would not hurt . The atmosphere in camp is pleasantly low key... more

We were at Kwara for three nights, followed by Lagoon for 2 nights and Lebala for 2 nights. Of the three camps, despite the accomodation being more simple than the other two, this was our favourite camp. This was our first safari but based on the experience I'm sure that it won't be our last. The staff were very friendly... more

We have just returned from three nights at Kwara Camp followed by two nights at Lagoon Camp. We were a bit concerned after reading reports on trip advisor but were totally amazed by how wonderful Kwara Camp was. We were met by friendly staff who could not do enough for us. The camp was delightful and the food great. Our... more

The big disappointment of our trip. The camp is old (Lagoon also, but things do work over there) and needs updating. But that’s not our main concern. Management & staff simply don’t reach the level of the two other camps. They seem to have lost their drive/passion. We were met by a manager who didn’t seem to care too much... more

Kwara Camp We found this camp run down and seedy with a management that clearly did not care. The concession area, (like other parts of the Okavango) is very attractive and the guides are comparable with other camps. The camp is at the east end of the concession area and as a result evening drives are unattractively into the setting... more

We spent only 2 nights at the end of the dry season in Kwara and saw abundant game on all our trips; we were impressed by the professional way our guide, Donald, showed us around the delta and seemed to be knowledgable of every living being from elephant to the smallest bird. Its quite reassuring to trust your guide when... more

I guess all camps go through cycles - we unfortunately seemed to have hit Kwara on a down-swing! I've wanted to go to the Okanvango for so many years and hoped for a really wonderful experience - but sadly we didn't get one. We felt as if the whole outfit was being managed to minimise cost rather than maximise customer... more

What can we say. Number one lodge from our 5 week safari. Best guides you can imagine. Incredible game viewing. Lions, cheetah, leopards, wild dogs all in complete wilderness with only our vehicle anywhere near. We stayed in Little Kwara which is less than 1 mile away from the original Kwara. The tents are brand new and stunning. Get your... more

A few details to add to the previous review: Note that there are TWO Kwara camps, 1) the original one (usually referred to as Kwara) and 2) Little Kwara. They are different. 1) Is older, the tents are not quite up to par with other luxury lodges. Also, some of the infrastructure seems a bit tired (e.g. the swimming pool... more
