Our recent 3 day/2 night business conference at the Sagamore was very well received. Virtually every attendee that I spoke to felt that the service/rooms/food/entertainment were outstanding! There had been some talk of moving the Sagamore out of our conference rotation, but I believe that our experence in November will end those discussions. Kudos to the staff and management at... more

In the defense of the Sagamore, I was visiting on the off season. This can either mean you are innondated with the staff or there is not one to be found. Mine was more the latter. Although the young man who checked us in was very nice and helpful, when we approached him with 'credit card to hold the room'... more

Just spent a long weekend at The Sagamore and if there was only one word to describe it, "Wonderful!". Rather than staying at the main hotel, we decided to stay at their Lodges that they have available on the property. I wanted something different from the average hotel stay, something more rustic but with the amenities of a resort. We... more

Visited the Lake George,NY region during the off season to avoid the crowds and was pleasantly surprised by how relaxed I became during my short 3 night stay.....thanks largely to the idealic view of the lake. Our room was a basic hotel room but they had nice fluffy robes for us and the nightly turn down service included a chocolate... more

The Sagamore is a great property with tremendous amenitites... great beach, superior dining, gracious staff. The main hotel is elegant and timeless. To save on the steep pricetag, we stayed in the outlying lodges (condo - like buildings) and were not impressed at all. The room was below ground level, dark and noisy due to the security doors slamming shut... more

After a glorious day of golf, where the service was impeccable, I went to enjoy a relaxing late afternoon massage. While waiting for my appointment, I was very surprised to see that there was a container of hot water but no teabags available. I thought pehaps they had simply run out and would replenish but despite the several hours that... more

We stayed at a lake view suite, not the main hotel and absolutely loved it. Our family enjoyed everything from the cookies handed to us upon check in which I had to say were addicting..... We had to ask for extra midnight snacks as they were a perfect pairing with the cocoa we drank while sitting on the balcony overseeing... more

Too bad that this place pretends to be a 4 Diamond resort... is far from being one. We stayed at The Lodge; Upon arrival, room smelled musty and stale, two stains on a chair at the main table in the room, picture hanging on wall in kitchen had a broken glass frame, there was some green goo or gum on... more

We went to the Sagamore for a conference and were struck by the lovely setting on Lake George and the awful service we received in the restaurant. Go visit for the scenery - eat elsewhere. When we tried to find out why we were getting such slow and inattentive service in the fairly expensive restaurant we were simply told that... more

The Sagamore is so welcoming and comfortable. The views from the main rooms are to the lake, there was a fire in the fireplace on the rainy day we checked in and the bar was the best place to watch the lake and enjoy a quiet afternoon. We loved the ambiance and the service was not obtrusive and excellent. We... more
