We stayed at Misty Meadows during college visits with my son & daughter. The owners, Pete and Marcia, are just the most kind and helpful people you would ever meet. They immediately make you feel welcome in their lovely, spotlessly clean home. They are happy to assist you with any requirements you might have, whether it be area directions, restaurant suggestions, etc. The rooms are lovely and the 'cooked to order' breakfasts are delicious. They are close to all the area colleges. My daughter has decided to attend one of the colleges in the area. So, whenever we make the trip up there, our plan is to stay with the Syretts. You should too -- you won't be disappointed. more

We stayed at this B and B as a last resort when we could not find a room any where else in the Potsdam/Canton area. I was very reluctant to stay here as I am not a huge fan of B and B's and I thought their website was quite lame. But let me say when I opened the door and entered I breathed a sigh of relief. The home is a two story ranch house which was very clean and I do mean spotless!! Two comfortable rooms and an optional third room. The decor was nothing fancy but it was quite comfortable.

Its a couple of miles from Canton and several miles from Potsdam off rte 68. Not a lot of traffic so its pretty quiet.
Excellent breakfast made to order.

We also had a dinner at a local restaurant called the 1844 house which was very good. more
