We lost our resevation at an "old" establishment blocks away due to a clerical error on the reception's part. We were told "to go sleep in our car." A gentleman who was staying at the "old" place said he walked past the Brae Loch on his way to gaze at the lake and it looked very comfortable. We met reception... more

We made a reservation on May 18,2009, for one night in the Brae Loch Inn for August 31, 2009. At the time, the person who confirmed our reservation told us that they had two rooms available. We booked one of them. We received a phone call on August 31, 2009, that our room was double booked and that our reservation... more

The location of this hotel is very nice. Building is very run down and in need of major overhaul. We were assigned room 18 and it felt like we entered a cave. The bathroom was dirty with mouse droppings on the floor. Food was ok. more

We were very disappointed with the accommodations at the Brae Loch Inn, Cazenovia, NY. It appeared to be a quaint little B&B upon entering the building and our hopes were for a romantic getaway. Some of the negative items were mold on the shower curtain, a broken window pane, broken leather recliner chair, and sulfur water. We were even willing... more

This B&B is right up there with some of the most romantic places we have stayed. Our room came with a king size canopy bed, a reclining leather chair and all the furnishings one might find in the 19th century including a bay window with a cushioned day bench, a full length mirror on a stand and a lovely, tile... more

Stayed here for one night -there was a wedding reception just ending when we arrived, but a bunch of the attendees went to the bar. At 2 a.m. someone was banging on a door in our hall trying to get in to a room. Finally, my husband went out to try to plead for quiet. The person said he lost... more

Another successful visit to the Brae Loch Inn for my daughter and me - we have been staying at the Brae Loch for 4-5 days every year for the last 8 years or so. We keep returning because the Barrs (owners) treat us like family - the beds are temperpedic and the rooms attractive and comfortable, the food spectacular and... more

Brae Loch Inn was a great unknown find for a romantic weekend getaway. Reasonable rates that included dinner and breakfast, excellent staff, awesome dinner presentation! The pub is a great place to unwind with your room right upstairs! Highly recommended and we will go back. more

Our second wintertime stay at the Brae. We love this size of inn - not so claustrophobic as smaller places and yet plenty of character. The rooms are large but cozy, with new mattresses and plenty of good lighting and seating for late night reading. (Window seats in some rooms, and fireplaces.) It's actually nice having a tavern on site,... more

We held an executive board retreat for a state organization at the Brae Loch because it is very centrally located. We found the boardroom to be comfortable, the staff very attentive and friendly and the meal was mouth watering. Our rooms were perfectly appointed and the wireless internet worked throughout the historic mansion. Several of the board members raved about... more
