My best friend and I booked a room at the St. Elmo Hotel in early October, 2005 for a weekend getaway. Our room was actually a small efficiency apartment on the first floor. It had two single beds, a complete kitchen including a full size range, dishwasher and refrigerator. The private bath with tub/shower even had a stackable washer/dryer. Every apartment is individually owned and decorated.

As ours was an end unit and on the first floor it also had french doors that opened onto a small patio with a wicker settee and rocking chair.

Also, as it was out of season we were able to park all weekend right at the hotel (street parking).

The St. Elmo Hotel is actually a fairly new building that is based on the original. It was extremely quiet inside the hotel all weekend and although we saw other guests coming and going it was not possible to say how many units were occupied.
