We stayed in august of 07'. We did not make reservations so we took what we could get. The first night we squeezed are 26' camper into what I think was a single tent site. Next day we had to move to an overflow site. This was a huge open field with nice views. Mind you it was August in upstate New York and the flies were bad and with no electric the camper was an oven. My wife didn't like the beach. She said it was dirty. I really didn't think it was too bad. Our neighbors across the way were loud and obnoxious but park staff took care of them and they left the next day. Please don't think this is not a nice place. It is nice, I think our less than great experience was just a fluke...Park staff was curtious and helpful.... more
