Believe all the reviews....this place is so dirty even the bugs don't want to be there. I would never stay here again..wish I didn;t stay here in the first place, but, my husband booked the room. I do not know when the last time the room we stayed in was clean. The carpet was dirty, there was hair in the... More

I was going to be in the area, and my co-worker told me that if I were brave enough to stay here, he would pay for the room. Hey, what did I have to loose? I did stay one night...that is all I would stay, even with someone else paying. All the reviews below pretty much sum up what a... More

I thought people were exaggerating in their reviews so I gave this place a chance. I had planned on staying about two weeks, but stayed only one night. The assigned room was not clean at all and the next room the owner put me in at my request was the same. The rooms smelled of stale smoke big time. The location... More

No other way to put it. This place is a dump. I was camping with my kids and it rained three days in a row. Couldn't take it any more so we took a room here. It was barely better than a wet tent. It is located at the gateway to Cooperstown. The owner would be doing the town a... More

Spent a night here because all other motels were booked solid. The rooms were dirty and the old guy on the desk (owner) was the grouchest person we have met in a long time. When we asked for a non-smoking room, he said "you'll get what I have left". The AC unit only worked on the high setting and the... More

The Cooperstown Motel is the cheapest place to stay in town. I spent two nights there during a recent trip. It was the worst motel/hotel room I have ever stayed in--though I survived. The room was not very clean, everything was very old, and when I first arrived the combination of stale cigarette smoke and cleaning chemicals was so strong... More

Im not picky when it comes to hotels, Ive slept in some not-so-favorable ones in my day.....we this might have been the worst out of all of them. I visit to cooperstown every year with my father for hall of fame induction weekend. this year (2012) will mark our 15th year in a row. Last year we waited last minute... More

pros - very walkable to downtown area. right next to a grocery store and a Stewart's shop. probably the lowest rate for a hotel this close to main st. shower pressure very good with good hot water. mostly a clean appearance. very old air conditioner was suspect at first but give it some time and it worked fine. cons -... First of all let me be clear it was a inexpensive place to sleep. The room was freshly painted. It does need a major overhaul and I wouldn't take my shoes off and walk on the carpet in my bare feet. The shower and toilet both almond, need to be replaced. The water pressure was perfect!! The 1970's cabinets outside... More

It looked like a room junkies would overdose in. The worst ever. Dirty, moldy, musty and anything else you can imagine. The only reason we stayed there is we travel by motorcycle,it started to rain and it was the only motel with rooms available. The owner acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us stay there. He should be closed... More
