Johanna's is a good deal We were in a room with a double bed and a large bathroom. There wasnt the usual stale cigarette smell which was refreshing. The only drawback was a very loud air conditioner! The location is perfect...right on route 22 in New York but close to the Massachussetts border

We stayed 3 nights during the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and the room was a welcome site for me every night. I hiked in nearby Bash Bish, Monument Mountain and Mt Greylock state parks which gave me a real workout. So having a clean room with a working shower and bathroom was extremely important to me. Johanna's Motel fit the... More

So... glad I did. I needed a place for my husband and his crew while they were doing a roofing job in Millerton. Angela could not had been more helpful. Made reservations, had to change them due to weather, then had to change the number of rooms needed. She was extremely gracious and accommodating. When they returned home, She was... More

We stayed at Johannas' Motel for a couple of nights over the Labor Day weekend. If a small motel right on the highway is your thing, then you are in luck. Johannas has about a dozen rooms or so with one long building with rooms front and back and then a second row behind the first with several rooms. The... More

This certainly wasn't a bad place to stay. It has decent beds, cable TV, a sofa and armchair to sit and watch the TV. The second bed seems a bit of an afterthought, but it all still fit. They have microwave and fridge available if you ask for it. But, cell phones have difficulty getting any reception (however, it goes... More

I stayed 2 nights at Johanna's and was content. The caveats are 1) you pay in cash, they don't handle credit cards 2) there's no land phone and the cell coverage is very bad. I also could have used a full length mirror and an alarm clock. A storm took out power and water (well pump), but the owners worked... More

The Johanna Motel is a gem! We attended SwineStock -a pig roast in Pine Plains. There's not many motels in the area. Most people camped out. But we made reservations 1 month in advance with Angela and "Motel Bob". We had a great time. The small motel (11 units) is comfortable and clean. Everything is updated and is in working... More

Hello.. We stayed at Johanna's and had a great time. When I say our overall experience was excellent ... it was not the posh that I am referring to. It was the extremely comfy bed and the cleanliness along with a spacious and clean bathroom. And I do mean clean room and bath. The Owners are gracious and run a... More

Rely on the Johanna for a clean, fairly large room at a good price. Where most of the hotels and B&B's in this picturesque area charge more than twice as much, the Johanna offers a bargain. As in most of the area hotels, there are no phones in the rooms, and cellular service is spotty. Free HBO. An added benefit... More
