When my husband and I were looking for a night away without our four children, we began the search by asking friends for their recommendations and looking online. We quickly discovered that no two people recommended the same place and it seemed overwhelming, that was, until someone mentioned Baker House 1650. I fell in love with their website and was... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Baker House for my 40th birthday. It is a beautiful property and I found it clean and well-appointed but alas I would never return. Our room was at the front of the house (Huntting) and the noise from rt.27 was deafening. Dump truck after dump truck late into the evening. After a sleepless... More

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely stay at the Baker House 1650 in East Hampton. The Baker House is a beautiful structure with lovely grounds and, while it is located on the main road, once inside its walls you find yourself in a mini oasis. While all the rooms and public areas are well maintained and... More

Amazing is the only word I feel adequately describes Bake House. My boyfriend and I stayed in the carriage house in the back of the property and absolutely loved it! The grounds were so beautiful and relaxing, our room was stunning and well designed. Everything was perfect from the fire place, the amazing shower to the perfect high end bath... More

Wow this East Hampton bed and breakfast was tremendous. The staff was super friendly without being overbearing and every detail was well thought out from the decor and amenities in the room, to the lemon infused water to the coffee and oh my the breakfast was amazing. The grounds are simply gorgeous, both in summer and winter, and they have... More

After staying in several B&Bs out East, this is easily my favorite! Great service, friendly non stuffy vibe, delicious food, comfy rooms with cozy fireplaces, excellent common areas, beautiful property and gardens. Grab the gardiner room if you can!

The Baker House is our home away from home in East Hampton. They make you feel like fabulous guests at a gorgeous old estate. We've stayed in the Gardiner Room - absolutely beautiful views of the gaden, fireplace and window seat. You're made to feel like an old friend, from the front desk staff, the incredible breakfasts, and the low-key... More

If I could give more stars....I would! I can't say enough wonderful things about every element of The Baker House. The house is beautifully appointed, the staff is extremely warm and welcoming, our guest room was beautiful, comfortable, spacious, very quiet, with comfortable linens and Frette towels. While it's located just down the street from the heart of East Hampton,... More

The house itself is very charming, the room was just ok.the noise level from the street is quite annoying but nothing like the pounding on the outside door for 15 minutes at 10:30pm. We were relaxing ,I thought that's what places like this was for! when I phoned the front desk to find out what raucous was about I was told... More
