A friend and I decided we needed a getaway for the girls. I booked this place completely by chance. What a find. The inn was absolutely lovely, carefully appointed with comfortable amenities. On the first floor, there are many common areas with huge picture windows looking out onto the manicured lawn, the huge porch, or the huge covered deck. Oh, and two rooms in the common areas have flat screen tv's (as do the rooms).

Our train was delayed arriving into East Hampton, so I called Hedges to let them know that we would be late. Carol, an absolute sweetheart, cheerfully informed me that this would be no problem & that she would wait for us (by now, it was around 9:30). She maintained this cheerful attitude all weekend, and was very informative about the town, where to find what, and how to get there.

We especially appreciated that they gave us beach passes, towels, chairs and an umbrella that Sunday, despite the fact that we had already checked out. They... more
