The inn was quaint, room and bed were comfortable, no TV. The bathroom need updating and supplies.(empty hand soap container, empty tissue box for two days). The breakfast was good but was not available early enough. Way overpriced for what you get. more

I passed through Essex on a bike tour and we stayed at this inn. It's a charming old inn, the rooms have character and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant was excellent! Had a lovely dinner here. The staff seemed a little put out by our group but in general they were kind enough. more
