We've stayed here twice. It's a nice quaint hotel in downtown Glens Falls. It is close to Lake George but not too close. The rooms are nice. Depending on your point of view you could see it as either "dated" or classical and comfy. The rooms remind me a bit of one of my grandparents house in their decor. The... more

We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Queensbury Hotel. We only stayed for one night, but we can't wait to return. The room's simplicity gave it elegance and what a surprise to find that our "room" was actually a suite with a sitting room which had a comfy, stylish loveseat and an extra television. The bathroom was... more

This hotel opened in the early 1930's, making it one of the few places in northern New York where one can enjoy an old fashioned hotel. My wife and I booked a night there to get away for a weekend (we live about 70 miles north of there) and were scared by some of the reviews we saw. You know,... more

this hotel is nothing special. The staff was nice. The room was clean. Beds were a little hard. The noise in the hallway was very loud, doors dont close by themselves and people slam them shut, was woken up many times by slamming doors. The area is very nice and very pretty in Glens Falls. more

We booked a room through bidding Priceline, and although the price was right -$82/night, it was a very mixed bag, and did not warrant three stars. The pros: Lobby was beautiful, staff very nice and friendly, room was clean, bright. Cons: The queen size bedroom, and bathroom was a joke - they were both extremely small. The bathroom door rubbed... more

We booked this hotel through" name your own price" on Priceline and were somewhat concerned after reading the reviews here as we are quite spoiled with respect to hotels. We loved it (with a few tiny reservations) The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and wonderful reminders of another era. The dining room and pub are fantastic. We only had breakfast... more

We stayed two nights. This is an old style downtown hotel that appears to have been built in the 1920's or thereabouts. Our room was actually a two-room suite with 1 1/2 baths and two separate entrances - very spacious and bright...it was nice having separate TV's in the sleeping and sitting room. One bed was a bit "creaky" but... more

I, like the previous reviewer, won this bid on Priceline.com. Since you do not know the hotel you will receive when naming your price, I became very concerned about this win after I read the previous reviews. So concerned that I called the tourism bureau of Glens Falls, NY and was assured that the hotel has had some updates and... more

Like a recent poster, I have utilized Priceline and never been disappointed....Until I won the Queensbury Hotel on a bid. This is not a three star property at all....The carpeting was DISGUSTING and stained, paint peeling on the walls and the worst mattress I have ever slept on. The bedding was so worn and had holes in the blankets. I'll... more

My boyfriend and I use Priceline for all of our hotel stays. We have NEVER been disappointed with a 3 or 4 star selection they've given us when you name your own price. This weekend, 6/29-6/30/07 we paid over $100 a night and were 'given' the Queensbury Hotel. I should've known by the odd looking street signs for the hotel... more
