A lovely place that isnt off the beaten path. Mostly New Yorkers trying to escape the city for the weekend. For years it has been majorly couples- now those couples have new-born babies.. and the only negative is the cottages overlook a beautiful pool, basketball court and ice machine- all of which are prime spots for families... ie; noise on... more

Nice place. Relaxing grounds; well cared for. Very comfortable rooms with superior furnishings; quality beds. Kitchen sink and small refrigerator in room. Great staff; clean, clean, clean. One problem: soda machine by shuffleboard court eats coins, doesn't deliver- use dollar bills. more

Hated this place. Room was furnished well but was suprisingly filthy. This place should spend some money for a overhaul. more

Stayed here for a week in June. This is a very well run establishment in a beautiful wooded location with an excellent swimming pool. We had absolutely no complaints about the accommodation or the facilities. The only downside for us was, given the busy road outside with no footpath, it was difficult to walk anywhere particularly at night. more

I stayed at the Hampton Maid this past Memorial Day (2006). The room is very beautiful, great amenities, however upon close inspection it turned out that the area rug was infested with ants and other creepy crawlers. The front desk was closed as it was 11 p.m. and no one was there to assist. The bed also had three ants... more

Have been staying at the Hampton Maid for about 20 years the kids have grown up there and love still going in the summer. Nice people and great breakfast. more
