I had never been to Africa or on safari, so this was cool. The elephants were amazing, as were the kob antelope, the warthogs and the occasional crocodile spotting. Ok, if you are not single, book a chalet. Even if you are, I recommend it. It will have one large bed with small pillows, air conditioning if there is electricity, and water possibly for a bath. To have the best safari experience you need to have your own vehicle or make friends with someone who came with a vehicle.... more
I agree that the position of the hotel is just great, as is the view, the food is lousy, as is the service at the restaurant, bar and front desk. Mole National Park is fantastic, and definitely worth the 10-hour bumpy drive. The elephants are incredible! As fantastic as the animals are, however, the staff have a minimal schedule for safaris. You can only go out to see the animals at 6:30am and 3:30pm. That leaves you lots of time with nothing to do but hang out in the bar,... more
