This hotel was offered to us when the hotel we had reserved did not have a room. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the street. It had been recently redone and was most comfortable and attractive. The hotel is located just a couple blocks from the major sites of the historic district. Street noise was minimal.
This hotel was not in a historically interesting building. People at the desk were courteous but not outgoing and offered minimal information and service. The room was about 45.00 per night, reasonable given the quality of the room and the location.
Queretaro, known primarily as an industrial city, has a charming historic area full of pedestrian only streets and plazas full of flowers as well as some fine museums. Their aqueduct is a marvel to see and the history surrounding emperor Maximillian is fascinating.
