My friend and I were looking to rent a room in the Hunter area for a weekend of skiing. Since we waited to the last minute, we took what we could find, and we ended up at Cortina Mountain Resort. It was nothing like I had expected. (All I was expecting was at least EconoLodge level.) The first room we were given was dirty. The beds were not made, and there were dirty towels on the floor. They put us in another room, which was tiny. It was just big enough for two double beds (no night table, but maybe a foot of space in between the two beds). The TV was a 13" and there was no remote control!!! The worst part of all this was that the floor was wet...from what I have no idea! Without getting into too much more detail, the service was pretty bad too. For example, they wouldn't even call us a cab (though they did provide us with a number to call ourselves). My recommendation is to stay somewhere else, as the area is full of other places to stay.
