We stayed for a weekend getaway out of the city, and loved every minute of it. It's owner-operated, and Stephanie gives her own special touch of warmth and welcome. The breakfasts are delicious and we truly enjoyed the afternoon tea (and the nutbreads!). The rooms are comfortable, clean, and we highly recommend room 6 - splurge for the whirlpool tub! more

Visiting The Hunter Mountain area for Oktoberfest, we stayed at the Washington Irving Inn. A Rustic 100 year old Bed and Breakfast, close to town and local restaurants. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable well appointed. I enjoyed the many old photographs decorating the walls. It was my first time at Hunter Mountain and staying at the Washington Irving Inn absolutely made the trip. The Inn is just beautiful and the grounds seem to have every little detail from wicker chairs to a pool to a wrap around porch. Like the other reviewers, I found the decorations wonderful/charming. The dresser in our room is very similar to the one I have in my guest room at home ( it was my Grandparents).
