If you like fine eclectic Victorian interiors, this is THE Inn to stay at. This place is splendid, warm, inviting and clean. The gourmet breakfast is also worthwhile many repeated stays. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fairlawn Inn. Innkeeper Chuck obviously has a passion for collecting antiques, and the decor throughout is eclectic and fascinating. We booked our stay on short notice for the Labor day weekend. We were greeted by Chuck upon our arrival and given a nice tour of the house. There are snacks available to all the guest and the common areas of the Hotel are wonderful. Chuck was very helpful with suggestions for places to go and routes to get there.... more

My only negative is the decor. the common rooms are VERY tackily decorated - it looks like a new orleans bordello.
