Last time we were in Ithaca, we stayed at a Days Inn or such. This time, the prices for less than our standard motels were out of this world, so, we opted for a B&B. We settled on this one because it was close to "downtown" Ithaca and near Ithaca College (where my husband want to school). Also, it offered a lovely view of Cayuga Lake.
The entire experience was very positive, from booking (which was done via phone about six weeks prior) to the room (the smaller suite downstairs with its own bath, private entrance and picture window view of the lake) to the breakfast each morning (highly enjoyable and tasty) to the owner/operator Denice (very, very friendly and helpful).
A few very minor complaints: The closet door in our room was difficult to open and shut, the shelf in the bathroom cabinet came crashing down on my husband when he was putting his toiletries on it, there was not a lot of hot water in the morning (good thing it was summer), the...
