I would recommend this hotel for people who want to be near downtown. The hotel has an almost ideal location. With that said, the hotel is outdated and needs a serious makeover. Staff was perfectly nice. more

Was concerned on some of the bad reviews online, booked this hotel while visiting Cornell with our daughter, room was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, walking distance to the commons where there are shops and restaurants. My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn for Cornell's reunion weekend 2009 and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is not fancy, but has modern, clean rooms, and the staff is friendly and accomodating. We were impressed by the hotel overall and would definitely stay there again when visiting Ithaca. more
