If you have to stay near JFK this is the spot. This is a clean facility. Excellent bed and air conditioning. Well managed. Staff is remarkably friendly. Housekeeper, front desk, or dining room personnel, you name it, they had a great "ready to help" attitude. more

Granted, there is no good way to stay near JFK. The shuttles can't come in to pick you up, although they can drop you off in front of the terminal....Do note that you have to take the Air Train from the terminal to the Federal Circle stop, where the shuttle picks you up. Get on the train that says "Jamaica"... more

First of all, let me be clear that there is NO reason to use this hotel unless you have an early flight from JFK or are too exhausted after flying in. If I did not use my points it would have cost $300 (yikes) and is next to the freeway with no tourist sites around. That being said, it worked... more

Stayed here for one night after arriving in NYC one day before I could check in to my short-term lease apartment in Tribeca. Good place to stay while preparing to fly out or arriving late. We stayed to visit friends, and it was much cheaper than staying in Manhattan. Room was nice but small. Comfortable hotel, would stay again. Staff was excellent, and arranged transportation and spa treatments for my wife and I before we arrived. It was a total surprise for her.... more

I was able to get a great rate on this pretty well reviewed hotel through Priceline bidding. The hotel was excellent as usual and is easily the best of the 4 JFK hotels I have used. (Sheraton/Holiday Inn Express).
