This hotel looks good from the outside, but it not clean on the inside. The toilet was dirty, the room had dust behind the TV and more importantly...there was a cockroach in my room!!! Visited the Wingate for three day vacation with my kids. Excellent location, superior service from front desk staff which \capablhy handled a town-wide power outage that shut down the hotel for several hours with flashlights at the ready for all the guests. good .. well priced hotel .. got it on hotwire for $55 for mid march. Close drive to Gore about 30-40 minutes.. more then hour to whiteface. Hotels sells discounted multiple days lift tickets. Breakfast was ok for me .. nothing fancy .. a small step above continental breakfast. more

Wow, A nice change from Comfort Suites. Read my review about what happened. I am the one with the child with Asthma. Feb/09. Everyone was so sweet. Especially the housekeeper. What a nice girl and so patient with children. We will be staying in Lake George a lot and will return here. My only complaint....which I am going to ask... more
