Spent a few nights here. My room was nice-with a view of the back of the building. It was quiet-except for the churches in the early morning. I slept with my window open so it must have been very quiet. The pool was not in service at the time but the grounds were nice and the men across the street... more

We ended up at the Roha having failed to get a booking at the Tukul Village. It is very similar to other hotels in the Ghion chain -well situated and well designed, but in need of refurbishment and with disinterested staff. The food was the worst we encountered in the Ghion chain. The hotel has a great location but bizarrely... more

This was truly the worst hotel I ever stayed at in my entire life... There was no view, no hot water when needed (they have limited / special hours when there is hot water available - who ever heard of such a thing but its true). Im not sure where to begin with this horrible place... all I can say... more

Roha is a lovely, clean hotel with good food and pleasant staff. The grounds were a little disappointing after Goha and Yeha with their lovely views. Roha has none. The big minus for me as a disabled person and, I suspect, for any elderly prospective clients is the fact that it is built on sloping ground and there are formidable... more

Considering the price, it was one of the better hotels that we stayed at during our entire Ethiopian trip. This assessment is inclusive of the Queen of Sheba Hotel in Addis, which cost us $130 USD per night. The restaurant food was considered good, and the rooms were clean and adequately appointed. more

This hotel is favored by the European tour groups that come to Lalibela. We booked our stay independently through the hotel website. It is located at the end of a road that goes through Lalibela. The churches are about a mile away. Walking there is slight uphill. The hotel has a nice lobby with a giftshop, bar, satellite TV (CNN... more

It's a fine hotel when rated on an African scale. It's fairly clean, and fairly comfortable. The sheets may be a little worn, and the rug may have a little dirt, and although it was a year ago I stayed there, I seem to remember needing to use a bucket of water to flush the toilet, but it's Africa. You... more
