Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was thinking over this past weekend as I cross-country skied the beautiful golf course that it is worth a Trip Advisor review to remark how impressed I am at how the Whiteface Club is handling coronavirus-related everything. We are regulars and can attest that they have done an amazing job from the very beginning – I am a complete freak about Covid myself and I have been continuously impressed at how the club is able to manage to and keep stringent guidelines while keeping things fun and getting creative with how to approach service moving forward (ice rink! Italian, Asian, German nights!). It’s been so interesting and fun to watch the business model adapt to these extremely trying times and I feel Whiteface Club has done an amazing job of doing so. I also appreciate that everybody is so careful with masks and general cleanliness. It’s really among the best I’ve seen not just in Lake Placid, but of anywhere I have been during the pandemic. I am grateful to have been able to spend some quality time in such a beautiful and safe place during the pandemic and highly recommend it to others. Nice job, WFC!!!

Beautiful outdoor wedding, photos with the lake, fall leaves and mountains in the background. Marvelous holdovers. Dinner served expeditiously. Room to dance, Good sound system. Plenty of parking. A short way out of town. Lots of places to stay nearby. Great destination wedding.

We had a fantastic family vacation at the Moose Mountain Lodge at the Club. The accommodations were clean and ample. The availability of water sports equipment and bikes gave us plenty to do. We had a nice round on the golf course where the views are great. We all want to do it again next year!

My family stayed here for a wedding in the Adirondacks and it was incredible. We rented a Lakeside condo at Whiteface through a rental agency in Lake Placid and were very pleased. The view was spectacular. My sister used the Boathouse and Marina for the rehersal dinner. The staff and food were excellent. It was a very memorable event. I would return here on vacation in a minute! Our biggest challenge was getting to Lake Placid because the closest airports are 2 1/2 to 3 hours away. Plan on staying awhile!

Whiteface Club and Resort has without a doubt, the most majestically panoramic view of any wedding ceremony venue in the country. Believe me when I say that the beautiful photos don't do it justice! If the view alone wasn't enough, everyone from the event planner Kristin, to the Chef, to each and every staff member who played a part in the fairy tale wedding that my daughter and her husband had at the resort, was absolutely stupendous. No detail was spared; from the decadent four course meal, to the drinks, to the excellent customer service displayed. They accommodate and cater to each and every guest to well please them! For the remainder of our lifetime, this wondrous experience will be etched in our hearts and memories. There is no other venue in The Continental U.S. that I would recommend over this venue!

This resort is beautiful. There is no need to leave the resort, although they will drive you into town and back ( until 7pm). The condos are beautiful, the restaurant is excellant, the lounge is cozy with tables, bar and couches around the fireplace. They have many specials at the lounge and are very accommodating . We stayed in the winter and skated at the outdoor rink. There is a lean-to where you can sit and watch the skaters, there is a "Skate House" with all skates, snowshoes, sleds for you to use. At night we strolled down to the fire pit with all the makings for s'mores available. There is a beautiful indoor pool and game room with shuffleboard, pool, billiards, fooseball, air hockey etc., even a small bowling alley ( which was very fun). There are many reading areas for just sitting and relaxing and also a movie theatre and ice cream parlor. There is a fully equipped gym and also a beautiful "library" - morning room - with couches, TV, computer, newspapers and coffee, tea and hot chocolate and fruit. Fresh chocolate chip cookies, coffee tea hot chocolate around every corner. The rooms are beautiful with high end furnishings, it is everything you would expect at an upscale resort. I had my wedding here on June 16th, 2013. The Club itself is gorgeous and the staff are excellent. We did not stay at the condos, so I cannot say anything to those. The staff worked well with us on our budget and found prices/packages that fit. Unfortunately, we had to resort to the "rainy day" option for our wedding - Wedding Ceremony in the Moose Lodge Boathouse. The Boathouse is beautiful and rustic, complete with stone fireplace and wood interior. The reception was located in the Clubhouse. More than enough room for our guests and a huge dance floor. The decor is perfect and we barely needed any extras. If you are looking for an "Adirondack-style" wedding - this place is perfect. The food at the reception was amazing. We had passed and table style hors d'oeuvres both very delicious. I just can't say enough about the attentive and NICE staff. The Wedding Event Coordinator is Kristin Parker - and she made the entire process easy and pleasant.

there are no bad condos at this resort. The wedding party and numerous guests all rented condos here for three nights and no one had a bad thing to say. Beautiful views of the lake and golf course (btw, this course is excellent). Easy access to downtown; lots of great restaurants (Fireside Steakhouse is the absolute best!). We happened to be there during the OctoberFest, but didn't realize how crowded things were until we couldn't find downtown parking on Saturday. We will def go back again.

We really enjoyed our stay here too. We were very comfortable. However, I have to comment on the previous reviewer's comment abou tthe kitchen. There was lots of stuff but it was a bit rudimentary and when we stayed there the dishwasher door fell on my foot. The owner was responsive and I believe fixed it after our stay. Overall, however, a very nice condo!

This condo was wonderful. The view is stunning and the decor amazing. We have never seen a place with so much time and thought put into the decor. The kitchen has everything you would want or need to cook a great meal. The antiques and Adirondack furniture were perfect to set the comfortable lodge feeling. Each bedroom had a TV so we didn't have to argue with the kids. The queen beds in each bedroom have a wonderful pillow top that is so comfortable. We slept great. The kids had a lot to do with the lake being right in front of us and planned activities for them. We also signed them up for tennis and golf lessons. It is the perfect match for the Adirondack Mt's. We'd love to stay here again.
