We booked this through our timeshare association at a bargain price and were almost totally satisfied. However, as with most sofa beds that aren't brand new, we were glad that we didn't have to sleep on them. Luckily I had packed an inflatable mattress just in case. We spent a week in the Lake Placid Club Lodges as a timeshare exchange, however, they said all their units are all identical, whether using as a timeshare or "by the night". We booked this through Royal Holiday Vacation Club. The resorts are a little on the old side, but still comfortably sleeps 8 ppl. About a 15 minute drive to Whiteface. We stayed in a 2 bedroom/sleeps 8 HUGE and well outfitted townhome with a gorgeous view of Mirror Lake (Unit 61)! It was located 2 blocks from the beautiful village of Lake Placid! We will go back again! more

We stayed at the Lake Placid Club Lodges through an RCI timeshare. The place easily accomodated 8 people. 2 Bedrooms upstairs, a pullout on the loft, and a pull out downstairs as well. The kitchen was very roomy and so was the bathroom downstairs that included a jacuzzi, sauna, shower and toilette. There was also a much smaller bathroom upstairs.... more

I stayed here during October 2003. The village is charming and has just the right number and selection of shops and restaurants. There is a small pub worth visiting that is off the main street and very close to the resort, if you can find it. You can walk to Mirror Lake and the village. The resort of also close... more

Good place to get away and think.I'm not much into skiing.We stayed the week of november 7th. Our lodge was nice and we really enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi.Not much to do around town....everything closes early ,.It was nice to be close to Canada and take a day trip. I would probably not go back.. not really my speed. more

A two-stroy Condo with great views and two decks. Stayed once in summer, then a winter week. Both times enjoyed ambiance and location. Close to shops and restaurants as well as wilderness trails and water ways. Everyone was friendly and the comforts of the Lodge Condo were welcomed after a long day of hiking in summer and skiing in winter.... more
