I stay at Hampton Inns quite often. This is one of the nicest ones. They have great bedding - which is a Big Thing to me. The breakfast is included and plenty to start the day. Spent two nights for business. The hotel is secure with locks and room key locks. Reserved a King suite and was given a King room for disabled travelers. I stayed here with my daughter when visiting Siena College. It was a good location, many stores, restaurants, etc nearby the hotel and not a far drive to the campus. Checked in at about 9 pm and was out the door at 5 am, so we didn't really get to enjoy the hotel much. We did have complimentary tea, coffee and cookies in the main lobby before going to bed. Very nice, clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. Only complaint is the restaurant recommend at check-in. This restaurant across the street was less than spectacular. It would be worth the drive for a better meal. more

Hard to find this when you search "Albany" on Trip Advisor; you have to search Latham, go figure. But this one is worth the search. Newer design Hampton, fancy lobby, lots of marble.
