BVI is a beautiful, serene Inn. If your looking for a place to leave the world behind, this is it. The rooms have no telephone or tvs so relaxation abounds. During my stay I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The two women that work the front desk (Lisa & Yvonne) were wonderful. They helped my husband... More

We spent the weekend here when visiting my oldest son at camp. It was well suited for us as it has great food and the athletic facilities were superb. My youngest child was quite happy swimming in the indoor pool, helping himself to ice cream and playing in the gym. The staff is very accomodating without being intrusive. The grounds... More

BVI is definitely a place I would recommend to others. The grounds are spectacular, the staff is wonderful and kind and the setting allows you to escape the worries of the city. Unfortunately, most of the members who now own the place obviously do not want guest there or to use their facilities. It was made clear that they own... More

As an avid fly fisherman and nature lover, this surprisingly well-appointed gem's effortless comfort was matched only by the staff's warm-hearted service and attentiveness. I have to say that my expectations were modest coming from the city and having grown up in excellent flyfishing country in central Pennsylvania. But I was blown away. Not only was the fishing superb, the... More

I was recommended to this Inn by the Wulff Fly Fishing School nearby, it was the loveliest place, full of charm and comfort. The staff was so helpful when I had any issue, the food just amazing. You just can't go wrong staying here. The beds are very comfortable and a serene setting. They just remodeled the downstairs, it's well... More

We always look forward to our stays at BVI. The Inn is cozy and comfortable, the staff is friendly, helpfull, and always remembers us by name. We love the 19th century feel of the Hotel and grounds, and the kitchen puts delicious meals on the table. Best of all, I get to fish some of the finest water in the... More

we found this place through friends. It was better than they told us. The Inn has an old time flavor that is hard to find these days. We talked to some local homeowners at the bar and they were very helpful in describing local places to visit. We heard that they had plans to "modernize" it. We hope they don't... More

The BVI is admittedly a jewell. During trout season the upper Beaverkill is a joy to fish. The water gets a lot of pressure and the fish can be picky. I have taken browns, rainbows and brookies in these waters. Since Larry Rockefeller sold the place the atmosphere has changed creating two classes of citizenship. It is now owned by... More

I was of staying at the Beaverkill Inn because of the very limited pictures on the internet. I am quite anal retentive. I notice attention to detail and especially attention to cleanliness. The Beaverkill Inn surpassed all of my expectations. It is very clean, well maintained, comfortable, and lovely. I cannot wait to get back.

We stayed at the Beaverkill Valley Inn recently as we had to get out of the city and get some peace and quiet. We found out that the Inn delivered this and a lot more. The Inn is actually a large old house that was build in the 1880's, I believe. It sits on a lot (hundreds of acres I... More
