Checking in wasn't a problem. (Although, just so you know, they will not hold your bags if you arrive early.) We got the room on the 2nd floor (top floor) right beside the elevator (so it was quite small!) AND which faces out towards the Holiday Inn sign on the front of the building. Location is alright; you'll never wait long for the subway, which takes you to Times Sq in 10-15 minutes. Neighborhood doesn't look like much, but is actually pretty good. No problems there, and we never felt unsafe. Customer service was decent on the whole; although some hotel employees weren't too helpful, most of 'em were really nice and attentative. more
