Usually camp out when traveling to climb up in the 'Gunks. Got in way too late to pitch a tent, so we got a room at the "87 Motel." Only major complaint was constant itching - bedbugs? Our rooms are thoroughly cleaned by our housekeepers, and our establishment is inspected and sprayed once a month by Hudson Valley Pest Control, who are also on call at all times...

Pictures are deceiving. Lake looked like a green slime pit, geese droppings all over the picnic area, dirty carpets and chairs. About the only decent thing was AC worked. Old pillows and sheets were used as insulation around the AC units. more

This hotel has been around for a while - the exterior looks very dated and it's location behind an abandoned Chinese restaurant can give a negative impression. Some aspects of the hotel are obviously outdated, however I found it a good value for the money and if you are on a budget there is no reason to pass it by.... more
I stayed at this hotel with my friends and was quite pleased. Don't let the outside of the hotel or the old-fashioned lobby deter you. I cannot believe the other reviews of this place. They must have been placed my management or something. The rooms and the lobby are beyond repair in this place.
