Had a fabulous holiday. Can't fault the hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was very good lots of choice, cooked fresh, food always being replenished. The beach is just wonderful, just like the Caribean, soft white sand and crystal clear turquoise water. Great beach bar too and sunbeds which are all free to use. The entertainment... more

We disliked this resort, where we stay for a week on past March 2009. The rooms aren’t comfortable enough for a five star resort and we disliked very much the decoration. Also the food had not enough variety and the menu was almost always the same because of the island’s lack of air and sea transports. The beach in front... more

Having just returned from our holiday complete with 1/2 stone extra we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was quiet and not a great deal to do out of the hotel. It was clean, modern with an african feel and the food was excellent. The hotel was full of couples all ages and families.. Ideal for a quiet... more

Never more Riu, never more with Thomson. Hotel is weak 4 star maximum . Cleanness fair but rest absolutely old dated. Only a little choice of food. Every day this same breakfast, lunch and diner. Evening entertainment nice. Coffee and drinks - simply awful. You will nothing to do on island. I think all good opinion was wrote by Riu... more

The Thomson flight was on time although a touch cramped and long due to adverse wind conditions. Arrival was smooth through passport/customs although form filling again is required - essential tip do online visa before you go or it costs you on arrival (20euros) Thought we had landed on moon at first but on arrival at hotel the welcome and... more

This is a vast complex comprising of a central main area with paths leading from this to the rooms, other eateries, games area, swimming pools and beach. Persons with walking difficulties would find this hotel difficult to get around. The swimming pool is 400yards or more from the main part of the hotel, if you have a wheelchair it is even... more

Stayed for 1 week at Riu Funana at the beginning of October. We were told before we went that this is a developing country & there is little to do on the island but relax & chill out.In this respect we definately were not disappointed.Flights were disappointing as the service was poor & legroom more than usually cramped.Expected better for a... more
