After spending a couple of nights ina 1* hotel in Belvès which was excellent, we thought that La Treille would be a remarkable step up. Yes, in prices for rooms and for the restaurant- both well overpriced for quality and the wine list even more so. The welcome was without warmth, we were given the annexe because of new acclimatisation... more

I wonder if we really stayed at the same hotel as the previous reviewer? Can things really have changed that much in a year? First of all the hotel is located on a dangerous corner of a main road (with no pavement, so on has to dodge the traffic to get to the front entrance) in the middle of nowhere.... more

Hotel de La Treille, right on the Dordogne River. Wonderful people, a popular, excellent restaurant, all around very nice place to stay, near Sarlat. Highly recommended! more
